Lecture

With less than two months to go until Election Day, we're overwhelmed with news and scandals about the candidates Barrack Obama and John McCain. It looks like the 2008 Presidential Elections will become the most exciting and surprising elections ever.
But what do we know about the system of American presidential elections? How does American politics work?
America expert, publicist en author Frans Verhagen can answer these and many other questions. In 2007 he published an essential guidebook for the upcoming elections: De beste Wint Nooit. Het ABC van de Amerikaanse presidentsverkiezingen (The best never wins: the ABC of the American Presidential elections). At the lectures Frans Verhagen will give an overview of the history and workings of the presidential elections and gives us his view on the current elections. He will answer questions like: Who are the candidates? And what are their most important subjects?

Upcoming lectures:
10 Mar. 2010  Ron Rash
19 Mar. 2010  John Irving
16 Apr. 2010  Kathryn Stockett
