David Vermijs is independent consultant on corporate responsibility. He works closely with Shift, a non-profit center for business and human rights practice based in New York City, advising multinational companies and international organizations operating globally. He was formerly a research fellow at Harvard University’s Center for Business and Government and an assistant to Professor John Ruggie, an acclaimed International Relations scholar, as well as Barbara Kellerman, a professor on the study of leadership. He was also a co-founder of United Netherlands, a professional student organization that leads Dutch delegations to Model United Nations conferences in Boston, New York, Oxford and elsewhere. David has a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government with a Fulbright scholarship from the Netherlands-America Foundation and a Huygens scholarship, and a BA in Business Communications from Radboud University Nijmegen.
