Artists help to remove the Sackler name

More than 70 artists quietly pressured the Met to end its ties with the Sacker family that made a fortune on the opioid crisis. The museum has announced that seven of its exhibition spaces, will no longer carry the Sackler name. The museum has announced that seven of its exhibition spaces, including the wing that houses the Temple of Dendur, will no longer carry the Sackler name.
