Eichengreen on the economic fallout of COVID-19

Economist Barry Eichengreen warns in The Guardian that the most dangerous phase of the Covid-19 crisis may be yet to come, as there will be less policy support than before if the economy again goes south. Eichengreen visited the John Adams in 2019 to talk about his book The Populist Temptation, which explores the global resurgence of populism in the wake of major economic crises.
