Eric SchlosserAn award-winning journalist, Schlosser’s first book – Fast Food Nation:The Dark Side of the All-American Meal – is a devastating exposé that spent more than a year on the New York Times bestseller list. His publication – Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market – delves into three key components of America’s underground economy: pornography, marijuana and migrant labor. The book focuses on the personal stories of individuals caught up in the underbelly of the American marketplace. He is currently at work on a book about the American prison system. Schlosser is a correspondent for the Atlantic Monthly. He has appeared on television on 60 Minutes, CNN, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News and FOX News, and has been interviewed in Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and the New York Times.

The evening was moderated by NRC and VPRO commentator Jan Donkers, author of De tweede Amerikaanse eeuw.
