Program & Development Coordinator
Growing up in Canada, the United States has always occupied a prominent place in Ian’s life. From a young age, Ian was fascinated by the cosmopolitan exchange of ideas, persuing degrees in classics and early modern history (University of King’s College) and cultural studies (University of Amsterdam). Before joining the John Adams team, Ian worked at the University of Amsterdam coordinating education programs for international students in topics from urban studies to political science, and taught in the Faculty of Humanities. Ian also writes articles for academic journals that explore humanity’s relation to the natural world in an age of environmental crisis and change.
