April 15th is the 150th anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. To mark the occasion, FLOOR is organizing a lecture and film screening to reflect on the lionized president. Dr. George Blaustein of the UvA will speak about the mythologization of Lincolnāincluding Lincoln’s own exaggerating of his career from railsplitter to political leaderāand will introduce Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln to arm his audienceĀ with facts.
