Huis Marseille in Amsterdam presents the first large solo exhibition of Deana Lawson’s work in Europe. Lawson is one of the most compelling photographers of her generation, who likes to blur the boundary between fact and myth. Novelist Zadie Smith, who visited the John Adams in 2016, wrote a wonderful profile on Lawson in the New Yorker.
