“Selma” Premiering in Dutch cinemas

On February 19, Ava DuVernay’s lauded film “Selma” hit Dutch cinemas. Set in 1965, the film is a chronicle of Martin Luther King’s campaign to secure equal voting rights for black Americans through an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.



On February 19, Ava DuVernay’s lauded film “Selma” hit Dutch cinemas. Produced by the likes of Oprah and Brad Pitt, the film chronicles Martin Luther King’s epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, which led to the landmark passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965. The film was nominated for Best Motion Picture of the Year at the Academy Awards.
