George Packer on fundamental issues facing the U.S.

In a new article for the Atlantic, writer and journalist George Packer holds out hope that, although the country is currently at a low point, the U.S. may be on the cusp of an era of radical reform that repairs a broken democracy. Packer visited the John Adams twice, the last time in 2019 to discuss his comprehensive biography of international diplomat Richard Holbrooke.
